Incorrect. The taxonomy codes are required attributes in several required segment in loops required for home health claims.
If you look at the taxonomy code list, however, you'll see that "Home Health Agency" has a taxonomy code (2514H0200X) that can be used in the "billing provider" loop. Additionally, there are default codes that can be used for nurses, doctors, etc. which makes the task of chosing a code for a provider a little easier.
