You are correct. I'm still waiting for the people at DISA to get me the addenda data
sets.

Tom,
I think you may not be using the Addenda Guides. The uses of the Taxonomy
became Situational. The segments have been changed to saying that the code
is "Required when the taxonomy is known to impact the adjudication of the
claim."

Incorrect. The taxonomy codes are required attributes in several required
segment in loops required for home health claims.
If you look at the taxonomy code list, however, you'll see that "Home
Health Agency" has a taxonomy code (2514H0200X) that can be used in the
"billing provider" loop. Additionally, there are default codes that can be
used for nurses, doctors, etc. which makes the task of chosing a code for
a provider a little easier.

I work in Home Care some of our offices suggesting to me that we do not
need to use Taxonomy Codes, has anyone heard anything similar?
