After checking both logs they are putting the same messages in both logs. I
dont understandWhat else could I look at to find out what is happening? Thanks.

I'm not sure what that error is, but it has nothing to do with weewx. It's
being emitted by Qt (a user-interface library).
The log you want is /var/log/syslog (not /var/log/user.log). See what's in
there.
