Ray,

A few things to consider:

   1. After you made the changes did you stop then start weeWX? After you
make changes to weewx.conf (which is what wee_config will do) you need
to do a config reload or stop then start weeWX for the changes to take
effect. Of course once you do the config reload/stop then start you need to
wait for a report cycle to occur before any reports will be updated.
   2. If despite 1. the changes are not taking, is it possible you have
more than one weewx.conf. You appear to be using /etc/weewx/weewx.conf,
there isn't one in the /home/weewx directory is there?
   3. If still no luck then I suggest you provide a wee_debug report as
well as a log extract from (weeWX) startup using debug=1:
      - To generate a wee_debug report refer to wee_debug
      <http://weewx.com/docs/utilities.htm#wee_debug_utility> in the Utilities
      Guide <http://weewx.com/docs/utilities.htm>. Check the wee_debug
output carefully for any sensitive information, wee_debug obfuscates
most but it is not perfect. Post the wee_debug report here.
      - To obtain the startup log extract, edit weewx.conf and set debug=1.
Save weewx.conf then stop then start weeWX. Let weeWX run for a few
archive periods (in your case 15 minutes) then post a log extract
covering
the period from when weeWX was started until a few archive periods have
passed. The log should be in /var/log/syslog unless you have changed
it. Alternatively you can open a second terminal window and run tail
-f /var/log/syslog before starting weeWX and then copy the output
      direct from the terminal window.

Also, feel free to post log extracts etc directly in google groups rather
than as an attached document. If posting log extracts, code etc as an
attachment posting as a text file is handy as some attchments can be
difficult to open especially when a mail client is being used to view posts.
