There is a possibilty we are looking at two separate problems related to kernel version, but if it is the same cause then the libusb0 code hangs the kernel, while the libusb1 code only causes the usb code to block access. But is it only the wrm300 that is blocked, or all USB? I think part of the next diagnostic steps should be... when the system is running normally, take a snapshot with *lsusb* (assuming it is available) when wmr300 stops, try lsusb again then plug in something else to the usb port and see what lsusb reports. Perhaps a usb memory stick would be an obvious choice
