Leo,
it seems that nobody is running it with the new kernels, apart from doing 
enough to discover that neither driver works reliably with the newer 
kernels.
Debugging it from long distance is potentially a very tedious and painful 
process, with no guarantee of success in the end.  This might need people 
with PIs and wmr300s willing to modify and recompile kernels as well as the 
python code. That will possibly reduce to a subset of zero people.
