Before you continue your Windows habits, please do 'not' in the habit of this on Linux. It is almost never needed. Really. For the future, whenever you start fiddling with all the knobs and dials, (a) save yourself a backup of the SD card that you can easily revert to and (b) write everything down. Everything.
