Good point, but I (didn't say it well and) meant more like the console and computer have different ideas of the DST rules. In the US, we changed the rules in 2007 and there were devices with older firmware following the older rules and other devices and computers following the newer rules. A lot of people's thermostats in the spring were e.g. still in standard time for couple of weeks while it was really daylight time.
