Console sees the station just fine. I just can't read from it and don't know if a new datalogger would fix it. I tried a hard reset like you mentioned and the USB is just dead on it.
My biggest concern is the new console without a USB port. It seems there is also an option to connect to it via port 22222. Does that work consistently? I'm seeing mixed reviews on it. I vaguely remember it took a lot of attempts to erase the memory but it's worked ever since. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the console? Failing that I'm pretty sure others have mentioned that 2nd hand consoles can be bought from ebay or other online market places.
