Actually, the "Taj" parents are named Julie and Henry. So, while they *could* be Muslim...I doubt it...since this is all happening in North Dakota.
Or - since in Norwegian and Swedish, the letter J has a "y" sound..maybe it's pronounced "Ty"

Carey. (They had an excuse, though, as that's our mom's maiden

I'd bet the parents are Muslims.
