have absolutely no way of knowing if we scared her away or not.
There are tons of lurkers here. For all we know she could be
diligently reading every single post and choosing not to comment.
She's a busy woman, what with the blog and everything. There is
really no reason to "quit" the group, that would require doing
something. The path of least resistance would be to just not bother
going to the site anymore, or not posting comments, or whatever. If
she sees something worth replying to, I'm sure she will. On a
similar note, I believe the group is open to anyone to lurk, you just
have to join to post. So for all we know Gene may read every single
post, but he doesn't join because he thinks his ego will get too big.
