That's precisely why I like it so much. Bucky is a completely antisocial psychopath, but he's part of their dysfunctional family. Besides, he's too dim to do any real harm most of the time, and if he does, Rob does punish him. He's completely at Rob's mercy, really, but Rob is too nice to make a point of it unless Bucky does some serious damage. I love dysfunctional family humor.

Great, now that I've analyzed it, I probably won't enjoy it any more, thanks Ellen...

(Just kidding! See how now that last sentence isn't as funny any more, now that I've explained...oh, forget it.)

I guess it's a fine line, but mean-spirited and violent are 2

wants to kill the zebra, I'm actually OK with that.  These are
predatory animals.  But rat and pig and zebra are friends, they
aren't mean to each other most of the time.  You actually get the
impression they enjoy each other's company.  Get Fuzzy is really in a
class by itself as far as the sheer nastiness, of Bucky
specifically.  Even strips that have a mean streak don't usually have
housepets turning against their owners and fellow pets. Robert is an
unlikeable schlump, but he isn't inherently mean and nasty.  Just the
cat.  I mean even Garfield isn't that obnoxious!  I guess there are
strips I like less due to their sheer pointlessness or stupidity, but
I'm just considering the nastiness factor at the moment.  Not that I
really care about a comic strip, I was just wondering if others feel
the same way.
