I've always figured I'll get my girls 'revitalized' when I'm older, (particularly if I lose my mind and have biological children), and many of my mother's friends have had facial work (brow lift, jowls, etc.) in their fifties.
So, on the one hand, I agree with you...on the other hand, I'm not certain I always will.
Well, yes and no. As a man, I don't know that my opinion is as valid; I'm not often judged on my looks (and I'm kind of strange-looking).
But, I do think that elective plastic surgery (not the "facial reconstruction after an accident" kind) is kind of a strange thing to do. While there are ways to make yourself look your best (get a nice haircut, wear makeup, flattering clothes, stay in shape, etc.), I draw the line at going under the knife to peel part of your face off and put it back on, put bags of saline under your skin, etc.
It seems to me that looks just aren't that important. In my opinion, I think you have to take what you've been given, on some level.
Obviously, if other people want to do it, vaya con dios, but I still think it silly. On 8/10/06, Hannah Robinson < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Do you think all cosmetic surgery's a waste?

Are there any women in the group considering getting implants? Strikes me as a waste of $4,000, but I'm a dude.

Since the boob jobs we notice tend to be the "porn star" variety, those that are above the muscle, you really feel the saline/silicone. Subtler (also more expensive) jobs, such as only going up one cup size or having reconstructive work, can be inserted under the pectoral muscle, and basically serve the function of pushing your natural breasts out.I've never heard of anyone preferring the feel of surgically augmented breasts. Something to keep in mind I suppose for anybody out there thinking about getting the girls 'enhanced'. (Also, all implants leak after a certain period of time, so be prepared for the expense of 'upkeep' as well)
