Understood.

Okay, it's not as bad as holding someone up at gunpoint.  But I 
think it *is* as bad as playing Russian roulette -- while aiming the 
gun at somebody else's head.

In both cases, you're intentionally taking an action that you 
understand may have life-threatening consequences.  You're gambling 
that both you and the other person(s) will escape those 
consequences.  But if your luck doesn't hold, somebody may end up 
dead.  And your intentional action will be the direct cause.  Not a 
pleasant thought, but a true one nonetheless -- at least IMHO.
