I know, and I agree.  Of course I'll go, and be there, and wear the blue dress, hold my flowers, and smile pretty...but I think it's unreasonable to expect people to take that much time off.  If it wasn't my brother (and I wasn't in the wedding party), say it was a college friend or something, I really don't think I'd attend.
 
I know I need to chill..but need to vent! :)  And you're right, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter TOO much; and if this is really who he wants to marry, and that's the day he wants to do it, then I support that.  But I think I will skip the rehearsal and arrive Thursday morning.  I've been in enough weddings, I've pretty much mastered the walking down the aisle thing.

My guess it they might have seen it as a GREAT excuse for everyone to take a longer holiday weekend and spend time with family.
You can't change it now - you can only choose to go and enjoy those extra days in Denver or go and brood over it the whole time.
In does sort of suck but in the GRAND SCHEME of thing it could be much much worse.

Am I being ridiculous?  Or this is inconsiderate and selfish on their part?  (They are having it on Thursday because it is 4x cheaper to rent the reception site they want.)
