I think the male equivalent to giving birth is passing a kidney stone. Or at least that's what a friend said who just went through it. Since I haven't done either, nor do I have balls, I can't comment from personal experience.
Being female, I don't compare poop notes with my friends, but I can say that when Oliver gets sick (read: diarrhea), I hope and hope for a nice solid poop and when it finally comes, it's cause for celebration, word quickly spreads through the neighborhood, champagne is popped, and all is right in the world again.
