I was in Target and I happened to see globes (you know, the kind that
spin and have a 3-D world map, as opposed to the snow kind) in the
office supply section and I bought one for $12.99, which I knew was a
fantastic deal because I was pretty sure they are usually about $30.
I thought it would make a good conversation piece in my living room.
Then I wondered, where would I go to buy a globe if I was actually
looking for one, or if I wanted to comparison shop? I realized I
almost never see them in stores, which is why the one in Target caught
my attention. I saw exactly 2 in Barnes and Noble, one each of 2
styles, but none in Borders, none in Staples, and then I was stumped.
There are plenty on Amazon and other websites, but I was wondering
which brick and mortar stores are likely to have them, as in where did
people buy them before there was the internet? (People used to shop
before there was the internet? :)) I can't remember ever wanting to
buy something and not even knowing what kind of store sells it before.
Any suggestions besides Target? I'm guessing the Discovery Channel
store, but besides that I'm out of ideas. You would think they would
be easy to come by, but not really. Thanks.
