If you are in the DC area, there is a RandMcNally store in Tyson's 
(OK, at least it was there the last time I looked) that had a nice 
selection of globes.  I'm a map geek and enjoyed looking the last 
time I was there.  Of course, it's been a while so I can't say for 
100% certain it's still there.
