In Johannesburg, South Africa, a 74 year old man bled to
death after being cut by the shattered porcelain from a
toilet bowl that collapsed under his weight. Police are
investigating but foul play is not suspected.
A San Francisco man may want to consider a career change
after he was arrested for a string of bank robberies because
he left his resume and receipt with his name on it at the scene
of the crime. It also didn't help matters that the burgler was
allegedly intoxicated during the robberies, according to the
San Francisco Chronicle. The thief now faces charges of
robbing 4 banks of more than $13,000.
Kuala Lumpur, A Malaysian burglar disturbed while breaking
into a house fled the scene without his getaway car then returned
minutes later to ask for the keys. When the house's occupants
refused, the man ripped off the car's license plates and smashed
the windshield to remove its tax disc. Police plan to trace the man
via the serial number on the car's chassis. The burglar returned
for the keys and pleaded with occupants not to call the police. He
said two brothers in the house had heard and looked out to see
a man fleeing on foot. Along with the car keys, the thief left tools of
his trade including a cutter, spanner and a car jack.
A halibut weighing 20-stone and thought to be between 25 to 35
years old has been caught in Scotland. The 8 foot fish was bought
by an Aberdeen fishmonger who said it would take two people
about 45-minutes to trim. It was caught near Rockall by the Enterprise,
a West Coast trawler and has a potential value of around �1,000.

USER TIP

If you use AOL for your Internet connection, you can see a lot
more of the world using this little secret.
When you dial up AOL, and connect, you're finally left with the
AOL screen. You're not really on the Internet. To get on the Net,
you have to click a button that says Internet. Okay, there really
is a world outside of AOL that you may me missing.
Once you've logged on to AOL you can minimize the entire
AOL interface. Just click the little minus button in the upper
right hand corner of your screen. This won't close your
connection. All it does is minimize the window that AOL
is using.
Now, once that's minimized, double click the blue "e" or the
ship's steering wheel icon. The browser you selected will
load, and then you can simply type an URL into the address
line, and click Go or Visit or press the Enter key. That's it!
You'll be surfing the web using only the browser. When
you're done, put the browser away, and pop AOL back
to its full state.
