The authorities in Singapore have forbidden Janet Jackson's
latest album, because of the "explicit lyrics" it contains?
-But they don't seem to mind that their 13 year old children prostitute
themselves all over their streets... Who's talking here?
A Pennsylvanian transsexual allegedly killed her husband
by castrating him. Tammy Lynn Felbaum was charged with
manslaughter, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment
and unauthorised practice of medicine and surgery.
Investigators originally thought her sixth husband died of
a drug overdose. The castration was only discovered later.
Felbaum apparently told police that her husband performed
the surgery on himself, only intervening when the operation
went wrong and he had signed a consent form.
In 19th Century England, it was common for human teeth to
be used for dentures. Aging dandies wore "Waterloo Teeth"
-extracted from the dead at the 1815 battlefield of Waterloo.
Teeth from the dead of the Civil War (1861-65) were also
shipped to England. In addition to extracting teeth from the
battlefield dead, and graveyards, mortuaries, and hanged
convicts, teeth were also extracted from living individuals
hard-up for cash.
London, UK. The smell of hamburgers dispensed by rogue
salesmen outside Buckingham Palace has clearly got up
the Queen's nose. The mobile burger bars have now been
banned from Palace surroundings and Royal Parks. They
were apparently a recurring topic of conversation when the
Queen sat for portrait painter Sergei Pavlenko. According to
the Russian artist, the unwelcome smell of the burgers, fried
onions and hot dogs was an irritation to the Queen during
their six hour-long sittings together. The Duke of York even
complained in person to a hamburger salesman at the
Palace gates. To the relief of the Royals, the burger trolleys
are now banned by law, and may be seized by police and
confiscated by the courts. Illegal traders also face a fine of
up to �1,000.

How to put an address bar in the taskbar.
Windows 98 has a cool feature that lets you put an address bar
for web sites or even your hard drive on the taskbar. Just right
click a blank area of the taskbar. Then, from the menu that
appears, point to 'Toolbars' and click Address. You can now
type a URL into this 'always on' line and if you're online,
you'll be whisked to the website address of your choice via the
browser that's set as your default page reader. Cool beans!
