Max Sneers discovered the theft when he went to harvest the crop near St Truiden. Police believe it would have taken two hours to reap 20 tonnes of corn from the 2.5 hectare field. Mr Sneers: "I talked to neighbours and asked if they had heard anything that night. They had but nobody asked any questions because you can harvest until 3am if the corn isn't wet." Police eventually found the stolen crop which had been sold on. A man has been charged with theft. Rome (Reuters) The mummified corpse of a mountaineer found in the Alps close to the French-Italian border could be that of a Japanese climber who disappeared 29 years ago, the Japanese consulate said on Friday. The body could be Makoto Ohashi," Japanese Consul Yuri Kodera told Reuters. Kodera said that Italian police had found a business card belonging to the missing Japanese climber close to the mummified body discovered on the Grandes Jorasses mountain, part of the Mont Blanc massif, on Thursday. "Ohashi left one morning in July 1972 with four other climbers. They returned alone," the consul said. Kodera said the Japanese Foreign Ministry was trying to contact Ohashi's relatives to find someone who could identify the body. Ohashi was 22 at the time of the accident and was described as a good climber. A British couple on holiday had sex on a Spanish beach in front of 200 cheering spectators. The couple, a 31-year- old blonde named Christine and her 40-year-old lover, are reported to have announced their intentions in bars in Benidorm. Witnesses claim three other men stripped off and joined in while onlookers filmed it. The hour-long session ended only when police arrested the group, reports the Sun newspaper. The paper reports a witness said: "They were telling all and sundry that they were going to put on a performance. Word spread and lots of people went down there. I couldn't believe my eyes. When the three blokes joined in it was like a porn movie. The crowd were whooping and cheering. "When the police arrived a big groan went up. But the pair just got up and took a bow before being carted off."
