How are you doing this far? Has the new year given you a
good start? Well, my year didn't start very well.
I had a serious computer problem, a partial hard disk crash,
and if I hadn't saved all my data, I would not been able to send
you this Ezine...
Ah, computers.. they are a great invention, but when they go
wrong, they really mess up...
Have you had any PC problems lately? Did your system lock
up? Programs loading slow? Do you need to reboot often, or
does your Internet connection suddenly drops away?

A US man injured by a bomb in Israel was a survivor of
the World Trade Centre attacks. Mark Sokolov, from Long
Island, was waiting for a relative when the bomber struck
in Jerusalem. Two people died in the bombing - the female
bomber and an 81-year-old Israeli man.
Eight policemen with dogs swooped to catch a burglar
but found only two hedgehogs mating. The officers and
dog handling team were dashed to the house in
Christchurch, New Zealand. Neighbours thought the
house was being burgled. Instead they found the
suspicious noise was coming from the amorous
prickly beasts locked in an embrace.
Malaysian officials are warning courting couples to beware
of peeping toms who disguise themselves as plants. The
voyeurs have resorted to the tactic after their tree house
'viewing platforms' were ripped down by police. They
pretend to be plants and use night vision binoculars
to keep watch on a car park popular with lovers.

How to put an address bar in the taskbar.
Windows 98 has a cool feature that lets you put an address
bar for web sites or even your hard drive on the taskbar. Just
right click a blank area of the taskbar. Then, from the menu that
appears, point to 'Toolbars' and click Address. You can now
type a URL into this 'always on' line and if you're online, you'll
be whisked to the website address of your choice via the
browser that's set as your default page reader. Cool beans!
Newbies can also do wonderful things with their computer,
