For information, this are the  reasons why Prelude IDS did switch from
OpenSSL to GnuTLS :

"Replaced OpenSSL in favor of GnuTLS, fixing: - OpenSSL licensing
issues. - potential OpenSSL dual licensing incompatibility issue. -
GnuTLS security background is better. - GnuTLS API is cleaner and well
documented.

Complete overhaul of the certificate handling infrastructure, things are
much cleaner, and much safer now. Authentication is always ciphered, and
the encryption layer is dropped if a UNIX connection is used."
