Haven't had much time to look through the source. I do agree with you though. Perhaps using a higher level language would be a good idea. C# is particularly nice, but then you depend on the .net runtime.
I have zero experience with C#, but I feel the current situation with the Novell/MS deal is such that the ground is not so firm for relying a project like this on C#. I suggested python because almost all Red Hat tools (GUI/CLI) are made with it and in various occasions where I had to poke into code written by someone else it was quite straightforward to understand what was going on. If you can program in C, C++ and C# I am quite sure you will mostly feel at home also with python.
I have developed gtk apps in both C as well as C#. Perhaps using the gtkmm bindings would be a nice middle ground. I've been coding mostly in C++ these days anyway...
Yes, I would consider that preferable over C#.
In any case, I'd look into things a bit more after the holidays. Best wishes for the new year.
Best wishes to you and have nice holidays Gianluca _______________________________________________ Wengophone-devel mailing list [email protected] http://dev.openwengo.com/mailman/listinfo/wengophone-devel
