Hi all,

Problem is that non of them work under Windows nor MacOS X.
And this sure is a huge amount of work!
...
(So sad to have work almost 3 years on a now dead project...)

Hey, the project is not dead, just "frozen" as said Aurelien. Files are there,
people are offering hosting them and pages and we have sourceforge, why don't we take it
easy for a couple of weeks until they officially say what will happen to the project? I
guess they still need the software, for what they're building.

Jerome Wagner, CTO of Wengo stated: "As I said, we are currently looking at
different options to make sure that the OpenWengo project stays alive and active without
a monetary support from Wengo."

I wish he'd make it clear pretty soon, what will go on and what not. I mean,
we have the comments on paid subscriptions being cancelled and nobody working
for OW anymore, and then Jerome saying that 2.2 is the technical focus as if
development somehow were to continue at wengo even though nobody is being paid
for it right now.

This raises many concerns, for example, I had talked my organization into
trying wengo for the software and the rates. But it's hard now to stay on that
course without knowing if they will keep on providing the same services. I
guess they still need the client and the infrastructure for peer to peer and
the call out feature ... but unless they explicity tell us so it looks a bit
risky.

Best regards and I'd say we wait a couple of weeks and then politely ask Jerome what is there in
the future for OW. He can post anytime and maybe he's interested in doing so because word-of-mouth
in the community could impact on wengo's image. Not that anybody wants that to happen, but after
years of saying "try wengo, try wengo!" if somebody asks now I'd have to say "you
should try wengo, but wait a while they're changing their business model" (not very
encouraging).

Best regards, Eduardo.
