nothing more nothing less :)
I totally agree with you about diversity

That's good news.
But still, for having programming with both, IMHO Qt is way nicer/complete
to develop with and for the end user, beside Linux, Windows and Mac
integration is perfect (MSVC support for example). I think most GTK+
developers never tried developing using Qt cause most of them dislike C++.

Qt already brings a lot for VoIP softwares: XML, DBus, networking,
ECMAScript scripting, Qtopia, CSS styles, Qt Designer, SVG, OpenGL...
and Qt 4.4 will bring even more essential pieces:
- Phonon: audio backends for Linux, Windows and MacOS X (check libs/sound,
we had to write our own library for that)
- Concurrency framework: very difficult subject - we had a lot of troubles
with that - a simple framework can solve a lot of problems
- WebKit: in the case of WengoPhone, no more unsecure IE ActiveX under
Windows
- Support for Windows CE: whaou! check

http://www.wengophone.com/index.php/mp_download_mobil_pda_wifi
http://trolltech.com/developer/downloads/qt/qt-windows-ce

And everything is packaged into a nice, free, simple, powerful, well
integrated, stable, full documented, multiplaform, good looking library.

I'm dreaming about a nice SIP (text/audio/video) library developed with Qt
4.4
OK OK everybody get it, I LOVE Qt and my girlfriend is jealous ;)

Did somebody checked Kopete code?
Pidgin video implementation is still a dream or they plan to release
something this year?
