Hello

Tanguy asked some questions recently about our plans for the project
Here are some answers:

We at MBDSYS have 4 persons working on WengoPhone 2 - fulltime 2 - halftime

We currently adding following features:

1) P2P SIP SIMPLE (meaning not using PUBLISH but doing NOTIFY and handling incoming SUBSCRIBES)
2) XCAP (host resident configuration and address book)
3) Switching trunk to QT 4.4 and using WebKit on all platforms

Mid term plans

Reorganize the tree to remove platform specific to binaries and move them to separate repository
Merge back wifo and verona (http://www.mbdsys.com/opensource/verona)
Upgrade Verona to use latest eXosip
Upgrade Verona to use latest mediastreamer2 in place of ph_media_streamer

Thanks
Vadim
Hi Vadim,

just a couple of question:

1. have you got any plan to provide a nightlybuild repository for Debian/ubuntu again? (like it was: deb http://pkg-voip.buildserver.net/debian sid-experimental )

In fact, I think:

a) it would be good to show last open-wengo enhancements (right now, for example, openwengo for linux still miss ring tone! even if I'm pretty sure that in 2.2 or NG version is already implemented)

b) it would be a good way to make the community close again to the project.

2. another question: since wengo will, I think, decrease its activity of SIP provider, is there any MBDSYS plan to became the new wengo' SIP provider? Will it be preserved the possibility to use a third sip provider?

Thanks for your work,

giopas

this way, it does a good job; but its defenders
are wrong in assuming it always works this way.

and become intent on winning, no matter how, they
may find other strategies--such as, attacking
other runners. If the runners get into a fist
fight, they will all finish late."
