I've just built the 2.2 branch on debian a few days ago. So if you have
a debian machine to build I'd look into automating this. For ubuntu we'd
probably need a second (virtual) machine.

Has the wengo code the infrastructure to do a debianized build (using
dpkg-buildpackage) so that we end up with an installable package?

I'm not familar (for the moment) with distro-specific stuff maybe some wengophone veterans could say something on the issue?
