For what my opinion is worth, I disagree with this. Constantly switching the
sidebar away from what the player/observer actually wants (as indicated by
them actively moving their mouse somewhere) would be a constant moment of
irritation at least for me. In other words, it is better if the user controls
what is displayed than the other way around...

In the above case, if the user initiated the action (e.g. an attack), s/he
already has the mouse on the attacking unit, so the sidebar will show its
information, unless the mouse is moved elsewhere. If it's an enemy's turn (or
if you're an observer), the user should be able to decide whether he wants to
see the info for a fighting unit or look at something else.

Please don't take this as a personal criticism, but instead as a feedback. I
