Follow-up Comment #8:
This was an intentional change; new players find it confusing when the
buttons are hidden (because they enter the MP Lobby having never known that
the buttons were there in the first place). Therefore, the goal should
instead be to make disabled buttons more obviously disabled. I have attempted
to address this with r18368. Let me know if it is still hard for you to see
it.
