Follow-up Comment #1:
We recently fixed a similar super-ranged attack bug on the svn-trunk (future
1.3.7), The code is now normally more clean and robust to prevent this kind
of problem.
However, your conditions to reproduce it are a bit different, so i will check
if the last fix also cover your case.
