Follow-up Comment #2, bug #9728 (project wesnoth):
The crash was not related to the OOS error. An older executable with a newer
datadir weren't compatible.
The OOS seems to be caused by the fact that the checksum of the first
recalled unit is stored and compared to the checksum of the next unit, which
of course don't match.
