Details:

Our addition of a few northern-facing animations has exposed the fact that
when units are hired, their default facing is to the NE (or perhaps N),
rather than the SE (which most current units visually look like they are
facing).

For now, I'd like it if we could default units to initially face to the SE
when hired.  When we finally have directional facings for most units, we
might consider adding map metadata to specify the default facing for units
hired on a castle (for example, a castle at the south end of the map might
have all the units on it including the leader start the game facing towards
the north), but for now, I'd like everything to start facing to the SE, just
to look less broken when paired with units that don't have northerly images.
