Follow-up Comment #2, patch #989 (project wesnoth):
I'll begin working on this and other things that contemplate changes to the
file system hierarchy mechanism used by Wesnoth; those changes are internal
and not visible to the user. I'm going to start around March 7th on the
respective svn branch (shadowmaster_filesystem).
