Details:

The default AMLA implemented in 1.3.x which is supposed to mimic the effects
of regular units leveling-up, by healing, unpoisoning and unslowing the
affected unit, and additonally increase its hitpoints by 3, doesn't fulfill
its purpose completely. Currently lacking are the effects of unpoisoning and
unslowing.

Note that as per wesnoth-dev mailing list discussion, it has been recommended
against backporting a bugfix for this to the 1.4 branch, as it might induce
Out-of-Sync errors on multiplayer games.
