Details:

Showdown, the last scenario of the Northern Rebirth campaign is almost
unplayable for a number of reasons:

1) Slow AI
When there are lots of units on the map (around turn 9 or 10) the AI takes 50
(in words FIFTY!) minutes to complete its turn (tested on a 2.7 GHz system).
Sometimes the AI computes for more than a minute before it moves a unit. This
is much too slow and kills all the fun instead of enemy units. Please, give
the AI maximum five seconds per unit and then *move* the damn figure! If the
AI gets too stupid this way, just give it more gold. I attach a savegame for
you to verify the problem.

2) The Elvish player can not recruit units from previous scenarios. This
feels wrong because the other players can do this.

3) The Elvish player starts with only 100 gold. This problem combined with
(2) makes the Elvish player a sitting duck, unable to contribute to the
battle in any significant way.
