Follow-up Comment #7:
The bug was already closed twice by mistake, so adding a small comment to
explain the current situation. The bug is present in two places: the tips and
the manual. (I think these are the only two places where italic is mixed to
normal text in gui 1.) The commit below only fixes the tips, not the manual.
Fixing the typographic issues of the manual will be no small joke, possibly
several months of work.
