Follow-up Comment #1, patch #2851 (project wesnoth):
It looks as if you could/should change the condition whether we add the event
to the id= thing suggested by the bugposter which I consider a good idea. You
should ask guys like zookeeper and Espreon about that too however. It would
e.g. also allow to be extended to remove existing handlers with an additional
[event]remove=yes|no key I guess (which currently can't be done).
So wml events can have an [event]id= field. If that field is present, check
all existing handlers whether there is an event with the same id= and if yes
ingore it. If no id= is supplied, add the event anyway. (both one of the
existing and the new handler must have same id=).
We can also be sure not to accidentally break existing wml then.
