Follow-up Comment #17, bug #18892 (project wesnoth):
csarmi: I believe #1, #2 and #3 were answered already in my forum post
earlier today (http://r.wesnoth.org/p512355). The nature of the flaw causing
this bug means it will result in some pseudo-random behavior.
As for #4, the only thing I can recommend is to compile from source with the
changes in r51822 applied on top of 1.9.9 (quite hard to do on Windows,
especially for the average User Joe who doesn't know much), or wait for 1.9.10
to be released. Unfortunately, there's no fixed ETA for the latter.
