Follow-up Comment #4, bug #19161 (project wesnoth):
Perhaps we could add a bool in the team class specifying whether the side was
initialized ? It's set to false at side turn change, saved in the savegame,
set to true if the init_side gets sent and only in effect in multiplayer. And
if it's already true then do not perform this check for whether we get sent
init_side. Other than that, perhaps we could search or address the replay data
directly which must already contain the init_side child. (Yes, there is an
additional init_side child in the saved replay of this bug case.)
