Yes, the bug still exists in trunk. You could take 1.11.1 or 1.10.x and
compare.
If
The flickering (more specifically, the newly advanced unit being visible
without the white tint right in the middle of the unit type transition) is
pretty noticeable with an animation speed factor of 1.0x (the default) or
1.75x (what I normally use when playing).
