Follow-up Comment #1, bug #22092 (project wesnoth):
The bug is also present in 1.10.7, so I don't think that there is a
regression.
I am attaching two more screenshots from 1.10.7. wesnoth-french-bug-3.png
shows the bug (displaying "RCA AI") when Wesnoth is launched in English and
the language is changed to French. In wesnoth-french-bug-4.png, the correct
behavior is shown (displaying "RCA IA"), as Wesnoth was launched in French and
the language was not changed.
