Follow-up Comment #3, bug #23633 (project wesnoth):
Replacing Debian stretch's libvorbisfile with a local build of upstream's
unmodified 1.3.4 source tarball solves this bug, so it may actually be an
issue with a Debian-specific patch or build settings.
