Follow-up Comment #4, bug #25411 (project wesnoth):
As discussed on IRC: As you rightly point out, the western side has far more
wolves, so approaching from that direction does appear infeasible now. But it
seems to take an awful lot of distance before the wolves stop pursuing, I
didn't recall that from previous plays.
Trying again, I had to approach from the east before I could attack and even
then I was being harassed. I concur with the 'Works for me' assessment, though
I will say it's harder than I remember (or I could have just been very lucky
previously).
