| Several of us in the art department have really been wishing we had someone like good old AT (Alex Turner), someone who can do batch committing/cfg file tweaking jobs for us so that we can spend our very limited "wesnoth time" actually making art. I had been muttering about this on the forum, and member kbaskins (Karen Baskins) piped up as being willing. She's not familiar with SVN yet, though she has some very limited knowledge of the command line, and stated that she's happy to learn about this in order to help us out. Also: "I have a much-loved G3 iMac running OSX 10.3.9. And even though you didn't ask for the information, I'm 44, live on the Left Coast of Canada, and am the Production Manager at a small newspaper. " This is always a hard recruit, because it's not easy for us to judge the competency of the person at doing their job. SVN access is usually granted for competency at _other_ tasks, and not as an end in itself. Plus it's a catch-22 if they don't know off the bat. I only learned SVN by being given access to it. However, I really do think that having someone to do this job is well worth the trouble of finding them. Shall we give her a shot? If yes, I'll give her the run-down on responsibilities, and I suppose Isaac(?) would need to set up her account. - Jetryl |
