I tried it out on Fedora 9 and got the game built and it seemed to work.
I had it build some of the other stuff as well but didn't actually test it.
It looks like you are still adding stuff so I won't bother pointing out
features that are missing, assuming that you know about most of them at
this point.
I tested an intree build, rather than using a separate build directory.
