Kitty,

There are two main ways we've attracted GSoC students: (1) those who are
already Wesnoth developers, but find that they can contribute much more
intensely to Wesnoth if their living expenses are paid for over the
summer; (2) those who are new to Wesnoth and perhaps find out about it
only through GSoC.

For this program, we are going to begin only through option (1). We will
be looking for people who are students, and artists, and contribute good
quality art to Wesnoth already. We hope that by us paying them some
money, we'll be able to get them to devote some of their summer to
working fully on Wesnoth.

If the program is successful and we feel we are in a position to attract
new artists, we may consider option (2). However, I think that option
(1) will suffice for now.

That said, I think you are a prime candidate for this, Kitty. If you are
interested, I think we would love to have an application from you. I
believe Jetryl has already contacted you about this via a forum PM.
