Please do not make a game that is set in the world of Wesnoth that is  
not Open Source.

We have spent many man-years of development time producing a high  
quality Open Source product. I think it would be sad and unfair to our  
developers if there was a non-Open Source product which caused  
confusion about what Wesnoth is and the principles of its core  
development team.

I think it would be legal for you to use the images as long as you  
acknowledged their source and that they are under the GPL and so forth.

However, I would question the wisdom of not open sourcing such a product...
