This brings us back to the Chicken and egg quagmire-what comes before, a
chicken or an egg??? Some one should tell me what Uganda's electricity demand
level was when Owen falls dam was constructed. The country's demand was too low
by then that's why we exported power to neighbouring countries and since
then,power demand has consistently been rising that's why a second dam had to
be opened at Owen falls. In industrialisation, we were taught that amenities
like POWER,water,roads etc attract the establishment of industries. So what
comes before the other son of Kaguta? Find us better reason to deny us our
right to such national resources, remember that having power is not a privilege.

Very interesting arguments I must say. I think the real thing should be where
is Nyagak and not whether we should be connected to the nat. grid or
not?!!!!!!! What our demand is and whether it is enough to get us on the nat
grid!!!!!????
I know Kiruhura has just got a project of over 6billion to connect villages in
Kazo to the National grid which our good Dujanga commissioned recently. I can
bet the villages of Kiruhura do not have even the demand of 1MW. Anyway cows
require water to be pumped from the streams!!!
If the President could only concentrate on when the 3.5MW will be on, he would
have sounded smarter. Now he is "all hats and no cows" just like the Texans
say.
Good deliberations folks but ofcourse most politicians from West Nile will
never discuss this seriously because a cabinet reshuffle is largely expected
soon and like Christine puts it, there is still time. God will one time smile
at us. This is a test that Moses and his sheep faced in the desert. We are
being tested and we should remain strong in the face of this massive neglect.
Time itself will tell.
