You could aways release 1.7 without cookies as 1.6.1 is there enough new
stuff to justify it being a major release? If so go for 1.7 no one needs
two version comming out soon after one another, and everyone will go for
1.7 if available.

So if you want to release 1.7 drop 1.6.1 I think...
